Beschreibung Description

This beautiful 911 L dates from the final production year (1968) of the 1st series of the 911, the so-called SWB original model. The Porsche was originally delivered new to the U.S. The L model was equipped for the U.S. market with all the typical S options, such as coil-over shocks, front and rear stabilizer bars, a 5-speed transmission, 5 1/2-inch Fuchs wheels, and the S interior. Only the power output of the 2.0-liter engine was reduced from 160 PS to 130 PS due to stricter emissions regulations.

The vehicle we are offering here comes factory-equipped with the optional Recaro sports seats, which—like the entire interior—are in their original, unrestored condition. The previous owner is a true Porsche connoisseur who, drawing on his extensive experience and while preserving the original appearance, modified the vehicle into a genuine sports car. The car was repainted in the very rare special color “light blue,” and the entire mechanical system was overhauled. A 2.4-liter short-stroke engine producing 217 PS was installed in the vehicle; a test bench report from VGS is available. In addition to this sports engine installed in the car, the vehicle also comes with a rebuilt 911L engine producing 130 PS.

This 911 is ideal for enthusiasts of fast and sporty driving and is perfectly suited for trips into the mountains. Anyone looking for a flawlessly executed, very fast, and powerful short-wheelbase coupe—one that also retains its original appearance—will find exactly what they’re looking for in this one-of-a-kind vehicle.
